David Agnew is a contributor to rabble’s Retiree Matters column. He is a native of Edmonton, Alberta, went to university in Calgary, and completed a PhD in engineering at UBC. He worked at a major British technical university, Imperial College, for 4 years, before joining Nortel for a 28-year career as a scientist and manager. As a current pensioner with a reduced pension from Nortel, he now works with a group of other Nortel pensioners on pension reforms and improvements.
