Toby Sanger is the economist for the Canadian Union of Public Employees. He focuses on labour, inequality, public services, public finances, fair taxes, environment and other issues of concern for CUPE members. He produces the quarterly Economy at Work and weekly Eye on the Economy. Before CUPE Toby worked as chief economist for the Yukon, principal economic adviser to the Ontario Minister of Finance, economic adviser to First Nations, environmental economist, as a baker, in a circus and as a journalist.
