Salmon farms/feedlots kill wild salmon.
For years First Nations and British Columbians have asked the Norwegian-owned industry to move their salmon farms out of wild salmon habitat and into closed containment. Instead they are looking to expand, and DFO is endorsing this destructive industry.

While effects of the aquaculture industry are up for examination at the Cohen Commission, (701 West Georgia St. 8th floor. Open to the public) First Nations and non First Nations alike will be uniting to encourage Justice Cohen to hear the voice of the people say “Protect Wild Salmon and Get the Fish Farms Out!”

People are encouraged to attend the public inquiry from 10 a.m. – 12:30 p.m./2 p.m. – 4 p.m. or join the drumming/singing and supporters at the Vancouver Art Gallery.

Diseases to be examined Aug. 22 -24
Aquaculture to be examined Aug. 25 – Sept. 8
