Activists expose police violence against women during G20

Multiple women come forward detailing sexual abuse while in detention

Toronto — Community groups are revealing testimonies of women that were sexually assaulted by the police during the G8/G20 Summits in Toronto.

This is part of an ongoing People’s Investigation documenting police abuse and holding accountable the Federal, Provincial and City government leaders that conspired to plan and give orders for the widespread police violence and repression that was experienced by thousands on the streets.

What: Press conference featuring Toronto Community Mobilization Network, Women’s Rights Activists, Jane Doe (who successfully sued the Police for negligence and charter violation in the investigation of her rape) and assaulted community members.
