As a non profit journalism organization rabble accomplishes far more each year than you can imagine.  We invite you to have a peek into our operations – via the 2022 annual report.… via the 2022 annual report!

Each year, rabble.ca releases a comprehensive annual report to share what we’ve been doing and how we spend the money we receive from the community and our sustaining partners. You can find our previous reports here. While there are no regulations that require us to make our annual report public, we feel it’s important to be transparent and open about how we operate. And truth be told, we’re proud of what we manage to accomplish with a budget that’s a mere fraction of those of similar organizations.

As you’ll see in our report, 2022 presented a plethora of newsworthy moments for us here at rabble to dive into. Canada crawled out of the COVID-19 pandemic, the alt-right occupied Ottawa in their so-called ‘Freedom Convoy,’ the Commonwealth said goodbye to Queen Elizabeth II, inflation hit an all-time high, the Pope apologized, and Twitter got Musk’d.

For this and so much more, rabble was there to keep you up-to-date on the stories that mattered to you. Visit our top coverage and insights from 2022 in our latest annual report today.

We’re in the middle of our summer fundraising campaign. Our summer fundraiser is a crucial mechanism for sustaining rabble. The funds raised will help cover operational costs, invest in technological advancements and support the dedicated journalists who work tirelessly to bring you the news that matters most to you.

We had a lot to celebrate in 2022 – including being recognized as a best news website in the Canadian Online Publishing Awards!. Let’s keep that momentum going through 2023. Become a rabble rouser and support us during our summer fundraiser with a one-time or monthly donation!
