OK, the weather is decent today and you have two hours to get out of bed, grab a coffee and some friends and head down to a demo in your city (see list below) to support the demonstrators in Egypt for democracy. If your city is not listed here, hell….plan your own rally or follow the links below on how you can help.

Fwd call out: Join the demonstrations in support of the Egyptian democracy movement. There are events all over the world on Friday and Saturday. Below are the listings for events here in Canada.

If you are unable to come out to the protests, you can still support the movement by calling the Egyptian embassy in Ottawa and demand that they allow the protests to continue without bloodshed. The 30-year-old dictatorship of Hosni Mubarak has never seen this scale of protest and there is a danger that they may fire on demonstrators as night falls. Also, be sure to e-mail Prime Minster Stephen Harper’s office and tell him that Canadians stand for peace and democracy. The government of Canada needs to speak up and support the Egyptian people. The PM’s e-mail is: [email protected]
