Dear rabble readers,
This April, rabble.ca proudly celebrated 24 years of delivering “news for the rest of us.” While we’re heartened by the progress we’ve made, independent journalism like ours still relies on the steadfast support of readers like you. That’s why our annual summer fundraising campaign remains a vital part of sustaining our work.
So, what does our work look like this summer?
This summer, don’t miss our upcoming Off the Hill political panel where we’ll dive into critical conversations around climate policy and climate justice. We’ll also publish Jack Layton Journalism for Change fellow Ashleigh-Rae Thomas’s powerful final feature piece, exploring life inside shelters for women and children. Plus, look out for continued coverage of the ongoing fight for 2SLGBTQ+ rights, feminist coverage and resistance to the growing influence of the alt-right.
We’re also keeping the momentum going with our popular rabble rousers to watch series — spotlighting the changemakers and grassroots organizations sparking progressive action in communities nationwide.
And, as always, we remain deeply committed to the labour beat, environmental issues, and political reporting you can count on — coverage rooted in justice, equity, and solidarity.
To keep this work going, we’ve set a summer fundraising goal of $10,000. These funds will directly support the writers, editors, and contributors who bring you independent journalism that informs, inspires, and holds power to account.
Whether it’s $1, $10, or $1,000, your support makes a difference.
