Dear rabble rousers,

It’s time for us to rally together and show what the power of community can achieve! This summer, rabble.ca has launched a fundraiser so that we can continue bringing important news and perspectives to the rest of us. And we need your help to make it happen.

What is ‘news for the rest of us’?

News for the rest of us is a way of understanding the world around us. It’s a way to stay informed about current events and issues that affect our lives. But it is not just about reporting the facts. It’s about sharing the voices of those who are most affected by these events.

News for the rest of us is about listening to the stories of everyday people and giving them a platform to share their experiences. It’s about amplifying voices that are often ignored or silenced in traditional news media.

News for the rest of us is also about engaging with the news in a way that is meaningful and relevant to our own lives. It’s about understanding the connections between global events and the issues that affect our own communities.

Ultimately, news for the rest of us is about creating a more informed and connected world. It’s about using the power of storytelling and journalism to foster empathy, understanding and action. In a time when it can be easy to feel overwhelmed and disconnected, it’s a reminder that we are all in this together.

Why support rabble.ca?

rabble has been a vital source of independent media for over two decades, sharing stories and uplifting voices of workers which are often ignored by mainstream news outlets. We cover everything from recent wins and challenges in the labour movement to fighting for Indigenous governance in Fairy Creek, the housing crisis in Toronto and Vancouver to advocating for Palestine in Canada.

We believe that everyone deserves access to reliable information and critical analysis – not just those who can afford to pay for it.

That’s why we are setting our goal for this fundraiser at $50,000. We want to ensure that rabble can keep publishing content that is truthful, relevant and inclusive. The funds we raise will go directly to paying for our writers, editors, and other contributors, who are committed to providing independent journalism and storytelling that makes a difference.

Your donation can help us achieve this goal and sustain our work for years to come. Whether you can contribute $10 or $1000, every bit counts towards making a difference. And as a community-funded media, rabble relies on your support to keep going.

But we’re not just asking for money. We want you to join us in this mission to make news accessible to everyone. Spread the word about our fundraiser by sharing this post on your social media and talking to your friends and family about the importance of independent media.

We know that together, we can make a real impact on the way the world sees and understands important issues.

Please donate today by clicking on this link. Your contribution can make a difference and help us continue providing news for the rest of us. Thank you for your support and dedication to independent journalism.
