In partnership with the Canadian Auto Workers union, is pleased to announce our second annual Labour Beat Co-op Placement. The placement will provide the successful candidate with unique opportunities to develop a grounding for reporting on national labour issues. The internship will involve access to meetings, conferences, media briefings and interviews with leaders in the labour movement, and may include shadowing rabble’s Parliament Hill reporter to committees and scrums.

Last November we welcomed our inaugural Labour Beat reporter Lori Theresa Waller. We loved having Lori on board covering stories around work, labour and employment. Lori went over a lot of ground and you can find her reports here. The labour beat went really well and we are excited to be offering it again.

Applications for the Labour Beat reporter are due July 23rd and the position is for 12 hours a week for 26 weeks. This is a paid internship, sponsored by the Canadian Auto Workers.

More information on this position can be found here (pdf).
