Samita Mukhopadhyay is an activist, a writer, and executive editor of Feministing, recent winner of the 2011 Hillman Prize for Blog Journalism. She recently published a book entitled: Outdated: Why Dating Is Ruining Your Love Life.
Samhita will be speaking at Women’s Worlds 2011, a global conference to advance women’s equality through research, exchange, leadership and action. The 30th anniversary of Women’s Worlds will be held in Ottawa-Gatineau July 3-7. Meghan Murphy spoke with Samhita recently about her background, the state of feminism today, and her hopes for the conference.
