Walk out to join the occupation!

Disgruntled by skyrocketing tuition and fee hikes? Mounting debt? Enormous classes? Lack of job security and program funding?

Take your frustration to the streets!

This Friday, October 21, 2011, U of T students and workers will be staging a walk-out to show our support for the Occupy Toronto movement and Occupy movements across the globe.

Join thousands in Toronto and around the world in demanding an end to social and economic inequality.

Walk out of class or work if you have it and, if not, just come meet the contingent at 3:00 p.m. in front of Simcoe Hall, 27 King’s College Circle.

From there we will march to College and St. George to meet up with fellow demonstrators and on to join the occupation!

To see what it is — to define our relationship to the movement once we have properly observed and participated in it.

Please, pass this message along anyway you can!

Schedule:
2:00 p.m. – Leave St. James Park
2:20 p.m. – George Brown College – on the corner of Adelaide and Sherbourne
2:45 p.m. – Ryerson – corner of Dundas and Church
3:15 p.m. – U of T – corner of College and St. George
3:40 p.m. – OCAD – corner of Dundas and McCaul
** please note the movement of the march is largely dictated in the moment, by the people — these times are vague estimates!
