This toolkit is a great compilation of tips for conducting an activist e-mail campaign. It’s a list of steps and resources compiled by the DisAbled Women’s Network Ontario as part of their Voter Education and Awareness Campaign. Their guidelines are extremely important – because while almost everyone can use the Internet, a lot fewer people use the Internet effectively or to its full advantage. Do you know how to send emails using BCC to remain professional and uphold privacy when contacting a large group? Do you email a test message to yourself before sending an action alert, campaign link, or petition?
If not, this guide is a great place to look. You can basically use the guidelines as a “checklist” to make sure your materials are up to snuff and to add in any campaign aspects that you might have overlooked.
