Credit paid where credit is due: rabble.ca has been a consistent stalwart for the left for nearly 20 years.

I’m proud to have contributed to the discourse housed at rabble.ca as a columnist, knowing that rabble’s readership contains some of the most dedicated and engaged progressives in the country. That’s what rabble.ca really is: a place where the left can see itself reflected, is taken seriously, and can engage in thoughtful and insightful debate.

I’m writing to ask you to join me in supporting rabble.ca. No one has been left untouched by the economic consequences of this pandemic, and we need to support one another through this time.

rabble.ca has a mission that is worth sustaining. Right now, they’re thinking about how Canada needs to come out of this pandemic moving forward — not building back to the economic structures and systems that have clearly failed so many of us.

If this pandemic has shown us anything, it’s that we need to think deeply about how we can come together to build forward: towards a green economy; towards racial justice; towards actual, real universal health care that includes pharmacare.

rabble.ca has committed to holding governments accountable, so that before big business is prioritized in any economic recovery, they have to answer some tough questions. It’s committed to telling the stories of grassroots activism, so we can build connections, inspire others, and learn from the triumphs and mistakes of others. It’s also committed to educating us, its readership, on the political and social issues of the day, so that we can be equipped to do our part in creating a just and inclusive society.

Be part of moving the conversation forward. Join me in supporting rabble.ca today.
