As part of its spending spree for the 2010 Olympics, the British Columbia government found a BILLION DOLLARS* for a new Vancouver Convention Centre ($400 million over budget).
But they say there’s no more money for Women’s Shelters. (Or seniors programs, or ambulance drivers, or school sports programs, or legal aid, etc, etc, etc.)
