Afghan women’s leader Malalai Joya tells CNN’s Heidi Collins how she was expelled from Afghanistan’s Parliament. The CNN host then objects after Joya speaks of the growing resistance to the occupation of her country.
This was aired on CNN Oct. 28. Joya is in North America on a book tour in support of her memoir, A Woman Among Warlords, written with rabble editor Derrick O’Keefe. rabble.ca is a media sponsor of Joya’s tour, which will visit seven cities across Canada from Nov. 13 to 28.

More people are reading rabble.ca than ever and unlike many news organizations, we have never put up a paywall – at rabble we’ve always believed in making our reporting and analysis free to all, while striving to make it sustainable as well. Our main supporters are people and organizations -- like you. This is why we need your help. You are what keep us sustainable.
