Pride in Toronto without censorship: Veggie Pride Parade 2010
Hundreds participated in Canada’s first Veggie Pride Parade on June 5, 2010. The parade featured everything from burlesque dancers to firefighters and a policeman (dressed as a very cute pig), singer-songwriter Loganberry (“Veggie Pride”), Grupo Axé Capoeira to Bollywood dancers along with about two dozen animal rights groups.
The Toronto Veggie Pride Parade, a nonprofit group founded in 2009 by Toronto animal activist Holly Larson, was inspired by similar parades held in New York, LA and Rome. For more information, visit: http://veggieprideparade.ca/2010/
