Queer Ontario is a new queer political activist group. At its launch party at Buddies in Bad Times in Toronto on January 30, 2010, people were asked, “What key issues should the newly-found queer activist group address in the near future?” Queer Ontario’s launch party was co-hosted by Kristyn Wong-Tam and Ryan G. Hinds and featured performances by LAL, Kim Crosby, Ryan G. Hinds and Troy Jackson. Speeches by activists CLGRO (Coalition for Lesbian and Gay Rights in Ontario) founding member Tom Warner and Queer Ontario founder Nick Mulé.
