The White Ribbon campaign recently came out with this amazing mini-toolkit called Men Speak Up: a Toolkit for Action in Men’s Daily Lives. The extensive 30 page guide focuses on daily changes men can make to actively work against violence. Rather than being overwhelming, the mini-toolkit is practical and strategic. It’s a response to a growing number of men who see violence against women and wonder what they can do to end it. The guide is divided into four basic parts. It includes:
Part one – What we’re trying to reduce and prevent
Part two – How small actions make a big difference
Part three – What men can do
Part four – Notes on the strategies and common mistakes
Though this guide is intended for men, it’s a great primer for any activist looking for ways to challenge violence in their everyday life. This is a great resource for helping folks take the next step to truly living their politics.
