Despite the fact that CEP and CAW have joined forces to form a new union called UNIFOR the resources that they provided for activists are still available. One such resource is a CAW produced booklet called Where did our rights come from? The booklet, which is available as a printable PDF file gives a concise history of the labour movement in Canada and highlights some of the struggles that resulted in the rights that we have today. As the Harper government continues its sustained attack on these hard-won labour rights we should look to our past to gain inspiration for the fight ahead.
