John M. Kirk is emeritus professor of Latin American Studies at Dalhousie University, where he taught for 43 years. He has written/co-edited several books on Cuba and is the author of a new study on bilateral relations, “Canada-Cuba Ties: The Pursuit of Normal Diplomacy” (Bloomsbury, forthcoming).
