Laura Sky is a writer, documentary filmmaker, producer and teacher.

She has created over 30 award-winning films including Soldiers’ Children (2014) and Working Life (2011). She is also the founder of SkyWorks Charitable Foundation, an independent documentary organization.

Laura has taught and lectured extensively at post-secondary institutions in Canada and in Europe. She has been an Associate Professor of Film Studies at Queen's University and at Ryerson Polytechnic University. She also taught undergraduate courses at York University.

For ten years, she was a guest lecturer at The Dramatic Institute, a program of the Swedish Film Institute and travelled throughout that country on speaking and teaching tours.
