Malcolm Buchanan is a contributor to rabble’s Retiree Matters column and President of the Hamilton, Burlington and Oakville Chapter of the Congress of Union Retirees of Canada. He has been an active member of the trade union movement for over 40 years and is former Provincial President and General Secretary of the Ontario Secondary Teachers’ Federation. Malcolm has been an active member of the New Democratic Party, federal and provincial, since 1972.
