Mark Leith is a retired psychiatrist who practiced psychotherapy for forty years and who taught psychotherapy at Sunnybrook Hospital, Department of Psychiatry, University of Toronto. He is the author of the well regarded psychotherapy training manual ‘Problem Solving Psychotherapy’. He is a longstanding peace activist and a member of International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War (Canada) and an active member of the Climate and Militarism Committee of Seniors for Climate Action Now. He is a member of Jewish Psychologists for Justice, an active member of the New Democratic Party of Canada, the Toronto Field Naturalists and attends senior improv comedy classes at the Danforth Avenue Comedy Bar.
He has published in the Canadian Medical Association Journal, the Ontario Medical Review, the Globe and Mail, NOW magazine, Rabble.ca, Peace Magazine, the Canadian Jewish News and the Toronto Star. He is the author of the hit play about war propaganda entitled ‘Dinner With Goebbels’.
