Sonja Alton is a Steelworkers Organization of Active Retirees (SOAR) member. She is retired from the Vancouver Community College full-time faculty where she taught for 20 years, the last six as Chair of the Humanities Department. Sonja resides in Vancouver with her husband Monty Alton, a retired USW staff representative. Both are active members of SOAR chapter 3-14.
