Dear rabble readers,
Happy Valentine’s Day!
We are so grateful to everyone who has already shown us a little love by donating to rabble during our winter fundraising campaign.
This weekend marks our final push to meet our fundraising goal – and we need your help to get there!
Charitable and non-profit orgs struggling nationally
As a result of inflation, most change-driving charitable and non-proft organizations – like rabble – are facing huge challenges in funding initiatives.
According to the Canada Helps 2023 Funding Report, individual donations are down by 45 per cent across the country. This is causing most organizations to look at extreme cost-saving measures; and, as a result, staff are taking on more and more work. And we here at rabble.ca are no exception.
We get it. So many are being affected by the rising cost of living, and it’s hard to ask for more when we know how people are struggling just to pay bills and put food on the table.
But we know the power of “a little goes a long way.” Your support, no matter how small, helps sustain rabble.ca. With every dollar, you help us to ensure that quality, independent, progressive journalism remains free and accessible to all.
Share a little love this Valentine’s…
This February, consider becoming a regular or monthly supporter to rabble.ca. Even a couple dollars a month goes a long way. And when you give us a gift, don’t be shy — tell your friends what rabble means to you! Just click the share buttons for Facebook and Twitter once you have completed your donation.
We’re proud to be your go-to community supported, independent media site. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your ongoing support of rabble!
In solidarity,
All of us here at rabble.ca
