You’d have to be living under a rock to not know about former Canadian senator Mike Duffy’s legal troubles.
And by legal troubles, I don’t mean in 1990 when Duffy pleaded guilty to a charge of impaired driving.
We must remember — as the nostalgic conservatives want us to — that Mike Duffy the high school drop-out, fought tooth and nail in his rise for power.
Of course, I’m not trying to pass the Tory-buck regarding why Duffy has allegedly defrauded tax payers in excess of $200,000, as well as him facing charges for allegedly accepting $90,000 from Nigel Wright which he used to repay expenses he had claimed for his house in Kanata.
It’s a really long story you can read about here: Harper’s Senate appointments were cynical and hypocritical
All in all, the RCMP laying 31 criminal charges over his Senate expense and travel claims.
On the bright side, here is a quirky video of kids reading snippets from emails from the Prime Minister’s office; that’s over 200 pages of testimony.
Again these are just snippets, but the real words from the email.
