The Toronto Star has picked up Rick Salutin's weekly column and his first column was published last week. Salutin's column will run in The Star on Fridays.
Salutin was a long-time columnist for The Globe and Mail until Globe management ceased to publish his progressive, award-winning column when the newspaper was redesigned last fall. Salutin's Globe column was also syndicated on rabble.ca.
The Globe's decision to dismiss the columnist, drew the ire of Salutin's loyal readership including fellow rabble columnist, Murray Dobbin, who began a campaign called 'Reinstate Rick Salutin.' Salutin's last Globe column ran on Sept. 17.
You can read Salutin's first column for The Toronto Star here. rabble readers can access an archive of Salutin's Globe columns here.

Is rabble going to resume its former practice of reprinting Salutin's columns, or are you going to follow the Globe's example?
We'd like to syndicate his columns but it's unlikely The Star will grant us permission to reprint Rick's columns as The Globe did.
